Euro 2012 Qualification Groups

Not many things happened since Conf Cup 2009. I already talked about on PS the RFEF's hundred years.

Last month (sorry for this late - i haven't been too much on PS) UEFA made the qualification groups for the future Poland-Ukraine Euro 2012. If you're a fan of Spain, you must see the following group:

Group I:
Spain (favourite)
Czech Republic
Scotland
Lithuania
Liechtenstein (Cinderella)

Czechs and Scottish could give some troubles under surprise, but Spain should win them easily.

The qualification will start in September 2010 (after World Cup) and will probably finish November 2011 (not confirmed).

Until World Cup starts, Spain will play a friendly match against those who knocked us in 1/8 finals in 2006 World Cup - France.

Confederations Cup Recap

Here goes the summary of the FIRST Confederations Cup in the whole Spain history.

We started rocking our rivals, we were the first team who scored here.
Spain 5 - 0 New Zealand

Torres (3 goals)

Villa (1 - he became 2nd spanish topscorer)

The first day, South Africa and Irak drew, so we were 1st.

The 2nd game was really hard, but Villa scored a wonderful header to put us in Semi-finals.
Spain 1 - 0 Irak

That day, South Africa won 3-0 to New Zealand

The last game against South Africa was a game for the non-usual players but they showed that they're a good team also. The final result was South Africa 0 - 2 Spain, really weak but the 2nd half were splendid. Villa and Llorente scored 2 good goals and really helpful. We were 1st with 0 goals received.
Irak drew 0-0 against New Zealand and South Africa passed to Semi-finals.


Next game of Group B was going to decide who would be our rivals in 1/2 finals.
Spain humiliated the Azzura 3-0 and they eliminated them. But a surprising USA killed Egpyt (who won Italy too) 3-0. and USA and Brazil passed. Spain was happy, we had the "easiest" opponent in Semi-finals.

Yesterday, 2 big misses from Capdevila and Sergio Ramos made Spain lost 2-0 against the lucky USA. Really disappointed cause we had 5000 chances to score in the 2nd half. They broke our winning streak of 35 games unbeated, sharing record with Brazil

Well, record existe to beat them! So SUPPORT SPAIN to create another bigger and better winning streak record. Today, Brazil plays against South Africa at 8.30 PM CET, so the final will be this Sunday at 8.30 PM CET: USA vs Brazil/South Africa

The today's game loser will face Spain in the battle for 3rd and 4th place in this competition, it will be at 3 PM CET this Sunday.
